AOP hosts NI CET event

The AOP will host a free CET event, supported by the NIOS, in Northern Ireland next month

Geoff Roberson

The AOP will deliver a CET session exploring record keeping and making accurate claims in Northern Ireland next month.

To be held at the Dunsilly Hotel in Belfast on September 14, the event is supported by the Northern Ireland Optometric Society and is free to attend for both AOP and Association of British Dispensing Opticians (ABDO) members.

During the evening, the AOP will deliver a lecture on Staying on the right side on the law (and the GOC), followed by Making accurate claims, which covers how general ophthalmic services (GOS) claims can be commonly misunderstood.

Optometrist and professional adviser for the AOP, Geoff Roberson, will be on-hand to demystify the GOS process, using realistic examples to help practitioners draw on their practice knowledge to avoid potential future problems, as well as to claim appropriately and confidently.

Four interactive CET points have been applied for.

Get more information and book a place. AOP and ABDO non-members are invited to attend at a fee of £60.
