Boots Opticians opens new Edinburgh practice

The opening forms part of Boots Opticians’ wider investment in refreshing the practice environment

A corner of a practice – one wall lined in vertical light-wood panels. Taking up half of the half are tall display cabinets of designer eyewear, and a large full-length mirror. The other wall is a deep blue, three luxurious displays feature Saint Laurent, Tom Ford and Gucci. Above them, ‘Hello’ is written in a bubble text made of white lights above a chunky bold ‘Edinburgh.’
A new Boots Opticians site has opened in Edinburgh’s St James Quarter after more than two years of planning.

The practice, previously located on Princes Street, has been relocated to St James Quarter as part of a wider investment programme by Boots Opticians to refresh the store environment for patients, customers and teams.

Joseph Duffy, area manager at Boots Opticians Edinburgh, commented: “After more than two years of planning, we are delighted to welcome the residents of Edinburgh to our new St James Quarter store.”

The new site offers a “modern, welcoming and accessible environment,” Duffy suggested.

NHS and private eye tests are offered in the practice, as well as free contact lens fitting, trials and aftercare.

The practice stocks designer brands including Tom Ford, Gucci and Ray-Ban, as well as sustainable ranges and its own-brand frames.
