Duncan and Todd Group has expanded its hearing care services with the appointment of six new ear care professionals.

The Scottish optical and hearing care group launched the Hearsmart all-in-one service in seven of its branches in July, citing a rapid growth in demand for ear and hearing care.

The service provides both an ear health check and ear wax removal using Tympa Health technology.

Following the completion of additional staff training, the service has been rolled out to six new locations across Scotland.

Julie Mosgrove, retail director at Duncan and Todd Group, explained that the new service enables professionals to perform “high-definition digital otoscopy, micro-suction wax removal, and carry out a hearing screening.”

Estimates suggest there are approximately 11 million people in the UK with hearing loss.

Mosgrove highlighted that an audiologist can offer help and advice on all options available for treatment.

Duncan and Todd Group has invested in hearing care since 2018.
