Employees from across Specsavers will feature in a video broadcast to hundreds of schools and colleges across the UK during National Apprenticeship Week (6–12 February).
Matthews said: “It’s exciting to be taking part. I’ve learnt a huge range of skills in a variety of departments alongside amazing people. I can’t recommend apprenticeships enough.”
The broadcast forms part of Specsavers’ Learn Live UK partnership, which delivers careers advice, recruitment opportunities and health awareness broadcasts into schools and colleges across the UK.
Wyatt commented: “Many of our apprentices wouldn’t have been aware of this exciting industry without the apprenticeship. It’s a stepping-stone into a career that offers so many opportunities.”
Specsavers has supported nearly 1500 apprentices since 2017.
Featuring is Adam Matthews, an apprentice at Chesterfield Specsavers, as well as Helen Belkhodja, Specsavers director for four practices in Surrey, and head of apprenticeships at Specsavers, Dena Wyatt (pictured).
