Independent optical brand Cubitts has teamed up with artist and illustrator David Shrigley to release a limited-edition lens cloth made from recycled plastic bottles.

The pink cloth, which features the slogan ‘I loved you from the moment I saw you,’ will be available in Cubitts practices from Friday (14 February) and costs £5.

All proceeds from sales of the lens cloth will be donated to the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association.

In recent years Cubitts has partnered with a range of UK artists, including Tracy Emin and Camille Walala, on similar initiatives and has raised more than £20,000 for charity.

Speaking about the initiative, Mr Shrigley said: “I’m very happy to collaborate with Cubitts to help Guide Dogs. Many charities compete for our attention these days and sometimes the vital work that Guide Dogs does can be overlooked. This charity changes people’s lives and needs our support to continue.”
