Mincher Lockett & Co Opticians in Market Drayton has collected 475 pairs of old, second-hand and disused spectacles for Vision Aid Overseas.
The independent also donated £10 for each pair of new spectacles sold at the practice in November, raising £420.
Optometrist and co-owner of Mincher Lockett & Co Opticians, Sam Davé, said: “We are extremely pleased with how many pairs of eyewear we have collected for Vision Aid Overseas in November 2019 by the good and generous people of Market Drayton.”
The spectacles will be used by teams of optometrists who volunteer with Vision Aid Overseas to provide sight tests and spectacles to people in remote and rural communities in four African countries.
