Wardale Williams has recognised two members of staff for their long service at the independent opticians.

Carol Turgoose and Patricia Osmond, who work on reception, have worked at Warsdale Williams' Halstead-based store for 35 and 30 years respectively.

They were both presented with a long service award on 28 September during afternoon tea at The Swan Hotel in Lavenham.

Practice manager at Wardale Williams in Halstead, Kayleigh Wright, said: “Carol and Pat make every day in Wardale Williams so enjoyable. The rapport and care they have towards all of our customers is unlike anything I have experienced in other practices where I’ve worked, it's wonderful. They make it such a special place to work and I feel incredibly lucky to be a part of such a fantastic team.”

Ms Turgoose shared that she has “loved every minute” of working at the practice and thanked everyone she has worked with as well as “all of our amazing patients who have truly made this job a very special one.”

Speaking about the practice’s patients, Ms Osmond added: “It’s been an honour to share in both the joy and sadness in our customers’ lives, as after 30 years they feel like old friends.”
