Liverpool-based independent Silverberg Opticians has won Retail Team of the Year at the Echo Retail Awards.
During the ceremony, which was held at the Titanic Hotel, Liverpool, practice owner, Ian Silverberg and his team were recognised for their excellent customer service, a timely service delivery and exceeding performance targets.
Speaking about the accolade, Mr Silverberg said: “The team is so important to me, as it should be to anyone in modern retail and especially optics. A customer’s journey in an opticians often isn’t a quick transaction. From booking your appointment, arriving on the day, seeing the optometrist, a dispenser afterwards then finally collecting your new spectacles, there’s a good chance you’re going to see a few members of our team. For us it’s important that we all pull together so that we are confident that any of our patients are getting the same high quality of service at all times in their Silverberg’s experience.”
During the awards, Silverberg Opticians employee Jess Kelley received Highly Commended recognition in the Star Employee category.
