Sarah Marshall and her Bicester-based practice are recognised for the customer experience it offers

A Bicester-based optometrist has been shortlisted for an accolade in the 2018 Barclaycard Everywoman in Retail Awards.

Sarah Marshall, who is a store director at Specsavers in Bicester, is one of three nominees in the running for a Customer/User Experience Excellence Award.

Making it on to the shortlist, Ms Marshall has already beat off competition from hundreds of other women from across the country.

The award aims to recognise a woman who has been instrumental in improving or transforming the customer and user experience.

Speaking about being shortlisted, Ms Marshall said: “I’m absolutely delighted to have been shortlisted. We pride ourselves on offering the very latest technology to ensure our customers all have a positive experience in store.”

Customers to the practice can utilise a Frame Styler tool, which helps people pick a frame that is best suited to their face shape. They can also take advantage of a queuing app that allows them to leave the store while they are waiting for their glasses and notifies them by text when they are ready.

The winner will be announced at a special awards ceremony in London next month (September).
