Dipple & Conway supports local charity’s summer fundraising

Dipple & Conway fundraising

A Norfolk-based independent opticians is supporting the fundraising efforts of a local children’s charity by taking part in an annual ‘float-off’ along the River Wensum.

As long-term supporters of Break, Dipple & Conway helped launch the charity’s appeal for local businesses and individuals to take part in this year’s Grand Norwich Duck Race.

Organisations and members of the public are encouraged to purchase a duck and paint it ahead of the event on 26 August.

Dipple & Conway is also supporting a summer-long sculpture trail which starts on 24 June and been established by Break to mark its 50th anniversary.

Acknowledging the independent’s support, fundraising manager for Break, Martin Green, said: “It is a huge pleasure to have Dipple & Conway backing us this year. They have been fantastic supporters of Break over many years – every member of the Conway family has been involved with us over the years and we couldn’t do what we do without partners like them.”

With practices in Norwich, Swaffham and Diss, in the past a number of employees have completed cycling and run challenges in support of Break. Two years ago the independent also had special beer brewed to mark its own centenary, donating 10p from every pint sold in the first three months to Break.

Last year the Grand Norwich Duck Race raised £15,000 for Break.
