Opticians fundraises for Guide Dogs

Edmonds and Slatter team

Independent optical group Edmonds & Slatter has raised £5000 for Guide Dogs.

The opticians, which has three practices in Leicester, has been participating in the charity’s Name a puppy scheme for around 12 months. The money that it has raised is enough to fund a puppy from birth to training school.

Fundraising activities over the last year have included sponsored dog walks, a golf day, plus instore collections and raffles.

Partner and dispensing optician at Edmonds & Slatter, Tim Cole, said: “We are extremely proud to have been able to raise this money which will help provide independence and freedom for someone who is blind or partially sighted.”

After the puppy’s birth, Edmonds & Slatter will be able to name the dog and met him or her.
