How many pairs of spectacles and sunglasses do you own?

Too many to count – I have more shoes than glasses definitely, but only just.

What is your favourite pair of glasses in the new range?

It has to be ‘number 5’ in its pink colour option – it’s very feminine and elegant. But really I like them all for different reasons.

There are a couple of frames that don’t suit me at all, but I wanted to include styles that suited other people too.

When it came to designing the collection, it was really important for me to create a range of frames that suited all faces, shapes and personalities. When I really stopped to think about it, spectacles are a part of so many people’s lives and their presentation – they have to feel comfortable, they have to make you feel confident, and they have to offer you variety. It’s not all about me, me, me.

What is the secret to styling glasses?

The secret – I don’t know what the secret is. A lot of it depends on what you are wearing them for, where you are wearing them to and just going with your gut.

If you could pick anyone, who would you like to see wearing your glasses?

The Queen – that would be amazing. However, I know my mum is very much looking forward to picking a pair of glasses from the range.

How would you describe your personal style?

Sometimes it’s elegant, and sometimes it’s not. Luckily in my job I get to wear lots of different things, as well as some amazing creations. I’ve always loved fashion for as long as I can remember, but I try to keep the look suitable for the occasion. Personally, I really like a casual look – comfy.

What are your plans for the year ahead?

2016 was tumultuous and I hope that, in general, 2017 is more settled. I would love to make a new pop album and I am also thinking about touring – much of the same, but with a lot more sparkle.
