New CEOs of CrossEyes announced

Harpreet Kular and Amardip Kular take the reins of the multiple in the UK and Ireland with immediate effect

CrossEyes Opticians

Optometrists Harpreet Kular and Amardip Kular have been named new co-CEOs of CrossEyes Eyewear in the UK and Ireland.

They will lead the UK-arm of the Danish optical group with immediate effect.

Established in Denmark in 2010, CrossEyes entered the UK in 2014 and has quickly grown to 15 practices, with stores located in Camden and Richmond, as well as Nottingham, Newcastle, Leeds, Sheffield, Chichester and Cheltenham.

Talking about her new appointment, Ms Kular told OT that she is very excited to take on the new challenge, adding: “As new CEOs it provides us with the chance to grow a brand and to build a really great optical business in the UK.”

“What is great about CrossEyes and this opportunity is that we can focus on offering a high standard of clinical care, while also selling really beautiful frames – we don’t have to pick between the two,” she added.

Ms Kular, who has worked in optics since the age of 19, joins CrossEyes from Boots Opticians, where she was a franchise partner for nine years, running the Worcester practice.

CrossEyes operates a franchise model and aims to challenge the traditional eyewear market through a flat-fee pricing model and limited edition eyewear, “without the limited edition prices,” Ms Kular explained.
