Vision Direct launches first summer campaign

Pug Gizmo returns for online retailer’s summer advertising campaign on accessing contact lenses abroad

Gizmo the pug

Online contact lens retailer Vision Direct has launched a summer advertising campaign designed to highlight the benefits of wearing contact lenses abroad.

As Vision Direct’s first summer campaign, the advert featuring popular pug Gizmo was launched after a customer survey found that 35% of customers were unaware that they could order their contact lenses while abroad.

Highlighting how easy it is for wearers to access their vision correction when away from home, the campaign’s tagline is: ‘Fall in love with our fast European delivery,’ focusing on the online business’s delivery options across Europe.

Vision Direct’s chief marketing officer, Ashley Mealor, said: “In a recent survey we found that 35% of our customers didn’t know they had the option to order lenses whilst they were away. We wanted to remind everyone just how easy it can be to get the lenses they need, even when they're far from home. In fact, our super-fast delivery service will reach most European destinations in two to three days.”

The advert will be promoted across all of the company’s social media platforms, along with a 30 second version which will feature as a Facebook advert over the next few months.
