Vision Direct expands its online portfolio to include sunglasses

Online retailer Vision Direct has expanded its portfolio to include sunglasses from leading manufacturers and well-known High Street brands.

The company states that its customers purchasing sunglasses will “benefit from the same discounted prices and superfast next day delivery.”

Brands now stocked by Vision Direct include Levi’s, Karen Millen and Ben Sherman. Vision Direct has also introduced a tool that enables people to filter the range by face shape to help them choose the right sunglasses for them.

The expansion of its product portfolio comes just three months after the online business was purchased by international optical company Essilor International. When the acquisition was announced, CEO of Vision Direct, Michael Kraftman, confirmed to OT its intentions to offer other optical products, such as sunglasses, spectacles and ready readers.

Commenting on the expansion of its portfolio to include sunglasses, Mr Kraftman, said: I am delighted to announce the availability of an extensive range of sunglasses from VisionDirect.co.uk. This is the first stage of an exciting transformation for Vision Direct, allowing us to offer a full range of vision products across all our websites after becoming part of the Essilor family earlier this year.”

Vision Direct confirmed that sunglasses will be delivered separately to other eye care products so “not to interrupt the superfast letterbox delivery Vision Direct customers have come to expect for their contact lenses."
