Haag Streit UK has announced the launch of the MR Q Combo, a specially-designed slit lamp incorporating a shortpulse laser for the treatment of anterior and retinal conditions.

The slit lamp provides the option to combine the MR Q YAG 1064nm laser with a Merilas 532a, Merilas 532nm or a Merilas 577nm shortpulse laser.

The Merilas 532nm and 577nm deliver microsecond pulses for subthreshold retinal treatments.

The MR Q Combo has been designed to save space and maximise versatility and treatment possibilities, the company explained, allowing the user to switch between treatments. The system can also be customised to suit the needs of the user.

The parking station protects the optics of the slit lamp adapter when the photocoagulator is not in use, and a specially designed slit lamp adapter ensures safe handling of the lasers.

The device also has a crystal detachable control panel and precision optics, the company said.
