Haag-Streit offers its first advanced course exploring ophthalmic ultrasound

Haag-Streit course

Equipment company Haag-Streit will host its first-ever course on Advanced Ophthalmic Ultrasound this October.

The one-day event, which will be held at Crewe Hall Hotel in Cheshire on 18 October, is designed to provide practitioners with an in-depth knowledge of what it labels a “highly-skilled ophthalmic imaging technique.”

The course, accredited for six CPD points, will comprise of a combination of lectures, demonstrations and hands-on sessions with real patients. They will be delivered by Haag-Streit specialists including Hatem Atta, Daivd Sculfor and Tarek El-khashab.

Delegates will cover topics such as ultrasound biomicroscopy, how to perform accurate axial lens calculation, intraocular tumours and the examination of the orbit and optic nerve. They will also have the opportunity to explore the Ellex Eye Cubed ultrasound system, which Haag-Streit says is a “premier device for an ultrasound examination of the eye.”
