Lenstec Optical Group has been awarded certification for the EN International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) 13485:2016 medical devices standard.

The award recognises the optical manufacturer’s procedures, culture and supply chains across the business.

Lenstec managing director, Nigel Castle, said: “EN ISO 13485:2016 is much harder to accomplish than ISO9001 so to achieve this highly prized accreditation there has been 18 months of dedicated hard work by group quality manager, Paul Kibble, Chris Kellard and the management teams across all sites.”

The company has also just been successfully audited for the Investors in People 6th Generation Standard, which is due to be awarded soon.
