No7 Contact Lenses is celebrating the first year milestone of its mini-scleral Comfort 15 and has revealed that multifocal and toric versions of the contact lens are being beta-tested for launches later this year.

The name Comfort 15 reflects the 15mm diameter of the contact lens. During the first year of the single vision option being on the market it has become the ‘go-to’ mini-scleral for many practices due to its affordability and ease of fitting, according to the company.

No7 Contact Lenses’ technical director, Kevin Taylor, explained: “Mini-sclerals have, in the past, been notoriously expensive, and involved a steep learning curve, but the Comfort 15 is simple to fit.”

Made from Optimum Extra, a Contamac material, the contact lens and its new modalities are expected to meet the growing demand for the requirements of fitting irregular corneas.

Practices interested in taking part in the beta-testing of the new Comfort 15 multifocal should telephone Mr Taylor on 0142 485 0620.
