Charity hosts research roadshow
The Macular Society and the Royal College of Ophthalmologists will jointly host a series of Top Doctor seminars across the UK this summer

At the Top Doctor one-day events, leading specialists will present the latest research and news on treatments concerning macular disease. Keynote speakers have been confirmed as broadcaster Peter White, host of the BBC Radio 4’s You and Yours, and musician Matt Wadsworth.
The seminars are designed for people affected by macular conditions, as well as their family, friends and carers. They will be held in Carlisle, Edinburgh, Sheffield, Cardiff, Chester, Belfast, Exeter, Norwich, Reading between 22 April and 9 July.
Chief executive of the Macular Society, Cathy Yelf, said: “We have some fantastic experts speaking as part of our Top Doctors seminars and are delighted to have the Royal College of Ophthalmologists as partners in this project once again.
“The Society's work has never been as important as it is today because more people than ever are developing macular disease.”
