Vision Express is celebrating dispensing optician, David Turnock, the multiple’s first employee to reach 50 years of service.
The Carmarthen-based dispensing optician was honoured by Vision Express alongside 100 other team members at the Long Service Awards ceremony.
The ceremony is an annual event that celebrates employees who have achieved 15 years of service or more.
Vision Express also awarded Bradford dispensing optician, Aelith Pugh, who marked 35 years of service, and Llanelli optical assistant, Julie Ruck, who celebrated 20 years at the ceremony.
CEO at Vision Express, Jonathan Lawson, said: “We’re privileged to have such loyal and experienced professionals at Vision Express, who go to work each day to make a difference to the eye health of the communities they serve.”
“It’s hugely important to recognise their contribution, and particularly special to celebrate a half century in the industry this year,” he continued.
“We commend David for reaching such an incredible milestone,” Mr Lawson added.
At the ceremony, a total of 42 members celebrated 15 years of service, 39 people achieved 20 years and 10 marked 25 years. A further five people reached the 30-year milestone, and one person celebrated 40 years.
