Professor Kovin Naidoo has been appointed interim CEO of the Brien Holden Vision Institute (BHVI) following the death of founder Professor Brien Holden last week.

A global leader in eye care and vision research, as well as an international renowned and award-winning scientist, Professor Holden was one of the most influential optometrists of his generation.

Speaking about the Institute, after his appointment was announced by its board today (5 August), Professor Naidoo said: “While we mourn the loss of our beloved leader and friend, we are reminded that the goals we collectively set and share, the movement that we began together, that changed the course of our industry’s history and millions of lives, will live on with passion, conviction and commitment to Brien’s legacy and our purpose to see vision for everyone, everywhere.”
