What is it like being a pre-reg optometrist?

Pre-registration optometrist, Josie Evans, is currently completing her pre-reg period in both an independent and hospital setting. She spends four days a week in an independent practice in Kent and one day a week at Moorfields Eye Hospital.

In this video she shares insight into her first few months as a pre-reg optometrist as she begins to see patients and builds on her clinical experience and knowledge. 

Having qualified in July 2017, Ariella Carr and Avmeeta Virdee completed their pre-reg year with Specsavers. 

In this video the newly-qualified pair discuss their experiences of the pre-reg year, assessments and the final hurdle to qualification, the objective structured clinical examinations (OSCEs).
