Top tips for driving in the dark video

The AOP has produced a new practical advice video aiming to help drivers to keep safe when driving in night-time conditions.

During the winter months drivers may find themselves spending more time navigating roads in the dark. The Association of Optometrists (AOP) warns that many people don't take driving as seriously as they should, by continuing to drive with vision below the legal standard.

The short video features a series of tips from visiting an optometrist, dimming the dashboard, keeping windows clean, looking away from headlights to not driving when drowsy that tackle the challenges associated with driving in the dark.

The video is part of a series of short advice videos, designed to explain common eyecare issues to patients.
