University College London leads an international list of institutions offering ophthalmology

University graduates

University College London (UCL) is the best place in the world to study ophthalmology, according to the latest data from the Centre for World University Rankings (CWUR). 

The CWUR ranked leading universities across 227 subject categories based on the number of research articles published in top-tier publications. Data was obtained by Clarivate Analytics.  

The UCL Institute of Ophthalmology was placed first in the ophthalmology rankings, followed by Harvard University in second place and John Hopkins University in third.

The University of Melbourne and National University of Singapore were in fourth and fifth place respectively. 

The UCL Faculty of Brain Science, which the Institute of Ophthalmology belongs to, was also rated the best place to study behavioural studies and experimental psychology internationally.
