Bookings have opened for the seminar programme at 100% Optical for AOP members.

Members of the AOP who have registered for the event, taking place between 25–27 February, gained early access to the seminar programme as of yesterday (3 January).

Bookings open to pre-registered visitors from 10 January, and then open to all delegates from 11 January.

The 2023 event will see approximately 140 continuing professional development (CPD) sessions across 11 hubs.

Activity will take place on the main stage and catwalk, in the Optical Academy, Future Practice Hub, Dispensing Workshop, and across exhibitor stands.

As the official education partner, the AOP will deliver a comprehensive programme of education across the show.

Dr Ian Beasley, AOP head of education and OT clinical editor, explained: “With over 140 CPD sessions on offer across 11 different hubs, practitioners of all modes of practice have access to a range of education for their specific training needs. As we enter the second year of the CPD cycle, 100% Optical offers a unique opportunity to earn points and make sure you’re meeting the GOC’s requirements across all domains.

“AOP members can also access exclusive CPD content as well as expert advice from our in-house team in the AOP lounge at the event.”

Topics up for discussion range from optical coherence tomography, to myopia management, career progression, contact lenses, the future of cataract surgery, and more.

In the run-up to the event, OT is hosting regular Q&As with speakers from the show, who will share an insight into the focus of their session. So far, OT has heard from speakers including Specsavers’ director of professional development, Grant Duncan, CooperVision’s director of global professional affairs for myopia management, Elizabeth Lumb, and Heidelberg Engineering’s clinical affairs manager, Tim Cole, with more to come.
