What makes Vision Expo East special?

Innovation has always been at the heart of Vision Expo East. In 2020, The Vision Council, along with co-owner of the show, Reed Exhibitions, will usher in a new era with a reimagined concept and a laser-like focus on discovery, connection and experience. Shaped by feedback from both exhibitors and attendees, the new concept is anchored by curated neighbourhoods, optimising the connection between sellers and buyers as well as exhibit spaces with enhanced design creativity and interactive appeal.

What can attendees expect from the 2020 show?

There will be three new distinct areas, or neighbourhoods, in 2020. The River, opening on 26 March, one day prior to the general exhibit hall, will offer daring, design-driven artisanal products creating a show-within-a-show pavilion for select industry leaders. Opening on the 27 March, The Union is the ultimate shopping experience of boutique and premium independent brands including exclusive, hip and fashion-forward lifestyle brands. Finally, the Springs is the incubator zone for emerging talent in eyewear design.

Why should UK-based optometrists make the trip to New York?

Vision Expo East offers unmatched education offerings and exclusive events to access to over 700 exhibitors from across the globe. Furthermore, Vision Expo East’s location in New York city provides a backdrop of world-class entertainment and hospitality. Will education be on offer this year?

With a focus on discovery, connection and experience, the refreshed education programme is central to the larger reimagination of the show. This year will feature nine exclusive clinical tracks, staged for the first time ever, with more than 100 hours of new content. Developed to immerse attendees in developments for better patient care, the clinical education will feature the experts unveiling ground-breaking technology and the latest trends in the optical industry.

In addition to new clinical offerings, Vision Expo East will provide business-focused courses highlighting ways to stimulate leadership, culture and profitability. With topics ranging from customer experience to human resources, attendees will receive practical solutions designed for immediate implementation.

Exploring the most common condition seen by optometrists, an education myopia track will include five hours of content created by the Brien Holden Vision Institute – a leading authority on myopia. Experts from the Brien Holden Vision Institute will present insights on the importance of myopia management from a clinical and business perspective.
