The Federation of Manufacturing Opticians (FMO) has appointed the managing director of Performance Finance, Stuart Burn (pictured), as its vice chair.

Mr Burn succeeds Heidelberg Engineering’s Krysten Williams, who steps down from the role to take up the position of head of global marketing and education at the equipment company.

Speaking about his appointment, Mr Burn said it was an “incredible honour” and added that he hopes to continue the great work of his predecessors.
Mr Burns added: “The FMO is currently facing challenges it has not seen in its 100 year history and I am sure it will draw on the strength of its membership and its very capable board to meet those challenges head on. I am looking forward to helping create an FMO that is efficient, forward thinking and fit for the next 100 years.”
