Vison Direct begins selling glasses
Online contact lens retailer branches out into prescription eyewear
01 November 2016
Online contact lens retailer Vision Direct has broadened its portfolio with the introduction of its first prescription glasses range.
Bought by Essilor for an undisclosed sum in February this year, Vision Direct describes the range, which comprises over 260 men’s and women’s frames, as “extensive and very affordable."
Confirming the new products, Vision Direct said that its customers would also benefit from a fast delivery of two or three days, as well as a complimentary prescription checking service provided by opticians.
Commenting on Vision Direct’s expanding portfolio, its CEO Michael Kraftman said that prescription glasses were the next logical addition to the company’s product offering.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to announce the launch of our new prescription glasses range, bringing UK customers a convenient, competitively priced and trustworthy way to order their spectacles online,” Mr Kraftman said.
He continued: “With a wide range of frames, fast delivery and opticians on hand to check prescriptions, we’re able to offer the same exceptional level of service to glasses customers as our contact lens customers expect and enjoy."
