Independent practices need to invest in technology, management software, staff training and marketing, believes Sight Care’s Paul Surridge

Since joining Sight Care 18 years ago, the market for optics has understandably matured and changed to adapt to a new commercially and technologically driven world, but there is still a worryingly significant cohort of independents that have not been persuaded to move with the times. Their apparent resistance can often be attributed not to a reluctance to change, but a fear of the unknown.
