100% Optical announces catwalk speakers

The 2020 Future Series is designed to equip practitioners for the next decade

100 percent optical main stage
100% Optical will host a series of debates, presentations and discussions in the catwalk area of this year’s show, which takes place at ExCeL London on 25–27 January.

The 2020 Future Series of talks will explore how practices will change with advancements in technology, how independents can become the heart of the High Street and how fashion trends will evolve.

Speakers include: Paris-based optician and creator of Optic For Good, Carole Riehl, who will discuss how to become a sustainable practice; Julian Clarke from Curoptic, who will talk about business strategy; and dispensing opticians Katie Memory and Jamie Edney, who will share the methods they used to build their practice.

Commenting on the presentations, event director of 100% Optical, Nathan Garnett, said: “Our goal is to equip optical retailers with the tools to flourish. Our long term future is intrinsically linked to the success of the optical sector. We know how important it is and we also know how tough it is. I hope these new seminars will help equip opticians for the next decade.”
