Formulating policy positions in a well thought-out way is right at the heart of the AOP's work, explains AOP clinical adviser, Trevor Warburton

I am not quite sure how I first became interested in policies, procedures and protocols. It was probably pathways that did it, back in the early days of what was then “shared care.” If you develop a pathway, you need guidance, or protocols for those operating the pathway, and so it goes from there.
