Optegra appoints
Richard Armitage becomes hospital director at the eye hospital group
01 March 2018
Optegra has appointed Richard Armitage (pictured) as new hospital director, taking on the role with immediate effect.
The 36-year-old will be responsible for both the clinical and business success of the eye hospital group.
Mr Armitage joins Optegra with extensive experience with the Nuffield Group, having worked in seven of its facilities. He has held roles in hospital management, business development, sales and marketing.
Furthermore, he has previously run fitness and wellbeing centres, managing teams of 70 people.
Speaking about his appointment, Mr Armitage said: “I have always worked in healthcare and was excited to join a relatively young and incredibly dynamic company. The structure at Optegra was of great appeal as there is the opportunity to really make a personal contribution and continue to build the Birmingham business in a growing market.”
Optegra has seven hospitals across the UK, which are part of an international portfolio of 23 worldwide.
