Optometrist appointed at SeeAbility
Gordon Ilett named vice-chairman of trustees at SeeAbility
13 June 2017
Independent optometrist Gordon Ilett has been appointed to vice-chairman of Trustees for SeeAbility, the charity has announced.
Mr Ilett, who is also a board member of the AOP, first became a trustee of SeeAbility in 2010. Under the new role, the optometrist will continue to be involved in the charity’s Children in Focus and Equal Right to Sight campaigns.
Speaking about the appointment, Mr Ilett said: “I have been working for many years to raise awareness of the importance of eye care for people with learning disabilities. My work in this field makes being a trustee for SeeAbility a perfect fit – we are helping to shape and develop how eye care is delivered for this group of people.”
