Two staff members from a Wirral-based opticians have helped to raise over £4,000 for charity after completing a charity skydive this month (14 June).

Optometrist Fred Howard and Rebecca Johnson from Frederick Howard Opticians completed the along with Mr Howard’s daughter, Kim, and Ms Johnson’s father, Mark.

After bad weather hampered previous attempts, the fearless four finally jumped from 15,000 feet this month to raise funds for a local cancer centre.
Commenting on the jump, Mr Howard said: “It was a relief to finally get up there and make the jump – what a fantastic experience too.

“We were so pleased to raise so much money for such a wonderful cause, especially after the Clatterbridge Cancer Centre had done such an amazing job of taking care of Rebecca’s Mum during her successful battle with cancer,” he said, adding: “We’re planning our next jump now.”
