Insight Optical Training has opened applications for its Scotland Level 5 and 7 Certificates in Optical Care.
Applications opened 12 January for the courses designed for optical assistants.
As a result of funding from NHS Education for Scotland (NES Optometry), employers only need to contribute £200 for the Level 5 course or £250 for the Level 7 course per person.
The training provider highlighted that funding from NES Optometry “makes this a great opportunity to access training and development for support staff at a very low cost.”
Places are limited to a first-come-first-served basis to any practice or hospital in Scotland.
Anthony Blackman, managing director for Insight Optical Training, shared: “We continue to receive good feedback from our learners and every year we make updates and additions to the training materials to make sure that they remain engaging, relevant, and up-to-date. We are extremely pleased to be continuing our partnership with NES.”
Applications close in mid-March with both courses starting in April for a December finish.
Qualifications are endorsed by national awarding body, NCFE.
