Marcolin has signed an exclusive global licensing agreement with the luxury brand, Christian Louboutin, for the design, manufacture, and distribution, of sunglasses and optical frames.
The newly-formed agreement is in place until 2029 and marks Christian Louboutin’s entry into the eyewear market.
Distribution of the new collections is set to begin from Spring/Summer 2025.
Describing the agreement as a “memorable partnership,” Fabrizio Curci, Marcolin CEO and general manager, shared: “We are extremely proud that such a prestigious and globally appreciated brand like Christian Louboutin has chosen us to make its debut in the eyewear industry.”
Collections created through the partnership will be targeted at an ‘aspirational’ section of the eyewear market, the brands explained.
Alexis Mourot, CEO of Christian Louboutin, explained that the luxury brand is “progressively rolling out a strategy to become a complete lifestyle luxury accessories player,” adding that the eyewear category is a “natural extension for us.”
The partners share the same vision for “creating objects of desire of an outstanding quality and instantly recognisable creativity,” Mourot added.
