Millmead Optical at 100% Optical 2020

OT  speaks to Millmead Optical Group’s James Conway

Optical Millmead
Millmead Optical Group showcased a broad selection of frames from across its portfolio, offering eyewear to practitioners at every price point during 100% Optical last month.

Speaking to OT during the show, Millmead Optical Group CEO, James Conway, said: “We have quite a lot of new frames here.”

Mr Conway highlighted the launch of new high-density acetate frames within the company’s Walter & Herbert range, the introduction of “bright new colours” in its Reykjavik Eyes collection, and new shapes and finishes to frames in its Laser range.

“We want to make sure that everybody can find something that can work for them in their independent practice,” Mr Conway explained.

Stating that he is unable to share too much detail, Mr Conway confirmed that the company will be launching a new collection later this year that sees “eco taken to a whole new level.”

He explained: “We have really pushed the boundaries on what we are able to achieve. The sustainability of the range that we will be launching is going to be something really quite different and quite special. What we are finding is that some of the price points on more environmentally-friendly ranges are quite high – that won’t be the case with our product.”
