Neubau Eyewear has launched a special edition frame to commemorate 100 years since the Bauhaus art movement.
The ‘Walter & Wassily’ sunglass style pays homage to the German art school from which the movement takes its name and founder, Walter Gropius and painter Wassily Kandinsky.
The sustainable Austrian eyewear brand explained that the style brings the Bauhaus ‘form follows function’ ethos to life through high-end design and functionality.
The unisex, titanium frame references steel tube features of Bauhaus furniture and has a rounded finish that is designed to recall the circular shape of the period.
Neubau explained that the model’s tinted mirror lenses symbolise Walter Gropius’ school where Bauhaus was born, while 3D printed accents on the front of the frame add detail to the frame.
Colour options include snow white and black matte, black coal and eclectic silver, or black coal and brass matte.
