How many pairs of spectacles and sunglasses do you own? 

My collection changes all the time, but at the moment it consists of approximately four spectacles and six pairs of sunglasses.

Do you have a favourite pair of frames?

On sunny days in Copenhagen, my favourite pair are sunglasses from Ørgreen’s upcoming Quantum Sun Collection named ‘1.19.’ They will be launching at Silmo, but I’ve been lucky enough to get a pair in advance.

What frame shapes, colours or style do you usually go for?

I often go for the rectangular shapes and prefer subtle colours. I’m a big fan of Ørgreen’s classic ‘Afterglow’ frame, which is a rectangular version of the classic aviator shape and one of those models that is always in style.

Who would you pick as your style icon and why?

I don’t have a specific style icon, but people on the street and the customers visiting our shop inspire me on a daily basis.

How long have you worn spectacles for, and what prompted you to go for your first eye test?

When I started high school, I noticed things written on the board looked blurry and I realised I needed spectacles.

Do you wear contact lenses?

I sometimes like to have the option when I work out in the gym or go for a run.

What eyewear trends are exciting you at the moment?

I’m really excited about Ørgreen Optics’s Quantum collection, the new technology, the new use of material and amazing colours – it is a milestone innovation in the eyewear industry.

What are your top tips for choosing the best pair of frames?

Your frames should match your face shape, skin tone, personality and lifestyle. As an optician, you get the chance to improve not only people’s look but also their view of themselves, so it is important you help them pick a frame that enhances their personal style and best features.

What makes your practice unique?

The shop’s interior is simple, sophisticated and architect-designed, which perfectly reflects Ørgreen’s high quality and minimalist design aesthetics.

How do the clinical services and eyewear offering enhance the customer experience?

We always start with a thorough eye test using the latest technology and equipment, and continue with a conversation about the customer’s needs and wishes. We take the time to listen carefully and consider the individual needs in order to find the best possible solution for the customer. We have our own workshop and grinding machines, which permits quick delivery and guarantees that every frame meets our high-quality demands.

What makes Copenhagen an exciting place to be for an optical professional?

Copenhagen is the perfect location for Ørgreen’s flagship store since the city is the home of Ørgreen and both of its founders have very strong roots in the city, aesthetically and socially. Furthermore, Copenhagen is a very liveable city and attracts a lot of different people, which makes it interesting from a shopping perspective.
