Esprit launches eco-friendly range of frames
The new ECOllection has major green credentials
23 August 2017
Esprit eyewear has launched ECOllection for autumn/winter 2017, an eco-friendly range of frames.
ECOllection comprises four styles for men and women in a range of shapes, such as vintage-panto with a modern bridge. The styles are available in black, brown, red, grey, purple and blue.
The collection is made using castor oil, which is extracted from a plant that grows on poor soil in Mediterranean and tropical regions, and doesn’t compete for land space with food crops.
Each frame comes in a case made from recycled paper, which has been specially shaped to be shipped flat and therefore reduce the carbon footprint.
Also, Esprit will plant a new tree for every frame of the collection sold in 2017, as part of its support for the national governmental organisation, WeForest.
