Optoplast has confirmed its acquisition of the product portfolio of Louis Stone Optical.

Paul and Judith Gaba, the co-directors of Louis Stone Optical, which was established in 1950, announced their retirement after 42 years last week.

The news of its acquisition by Optoplast, which is part of Millmead Optical Group, sees the company take on the cases and cloth business in a strategic move that “reflects Optoplast’s commitment to enhancing its product portfolio and further solidifying its position in the optical industry.”

In a statement, Optoplast said it was “excited” to inform its customers and partners that it is now the sole distributor of Louis Stone cases and cloths.

“This collaboration brings together two reputable entities, each renowned for their commitment to quality and excellence in the optical accessories market,” it added.

Optoplast highlighted that Louis Stone Optical is recognised for its cases and cloths, and is “eager” to integrate the products into its portfolio.

“With the addition of Louis Stone cases and cloths to its product range, Optoplast anticipates offering an even more diverse and high-quality selection to its valued customers,” it said.
