Heidelberg Engineering’s clinical affairs manager, Tim Cole, gave OT a demonstration of its Spectralis optical coherence tomography’s (OCT) new glaucoma analysis software during 100% Optical last month.
Discussing the new platform, Mr Cole explained: “It provides a huge new part of the glaucoma story that really ties our whole analysis together now – we scan the optic nerve head and the full macular for signs of glaucoma now.”
Representatives at the show were also on-hand to speak to delegates about upgradability options for the device, as well as special offers on pricing including the company’s Love your OCT guarantee, which provides practitioners with the option to return the device after 18 months if “it’s not working for them,” Mr Cole said.
Mr Cole confirmed that Heidelberg Engineering is in the process of upgrading its existing customers who have the glaucoma module premium edition module with the new glaucoma software, which they are eligible to receive free of charge.
100% Optical 2021 will be held at ExCeL on 23–25 January.
