Topcon has announced that it will hold its first Topcon University national optical coherence tomography (OCT) conference in Birmingham later this year.

The Japanese optical imaging company say the event aims to bring practitioners up to speed with OCT, irrespective of their level of experience with the imaging technology.

Topics will include an overview of features and benefits of 3D OCT, implementing OCT in clinical practice, reading scans and when to refer patients.

The event will be run by Topcon University and supported by a number of leading ophthalmic clinicians, including ex-president of the British Contact Lens Association and lecturer in optometry and vision science, Dr Catharine Chisholm.

The conference will be held at the Birmingham Metropole Hotel, 22–23 November, with details of speakers to be announced.

Full details will be made available at National OCT Conference
