The Association of Contact Lens Manufactures (ACLM) has released the 2018 edition of its annual Contact Lens Year Book.
The manual contains the technical details of all contact lenses, solutions and materials that are produced by ACLM member companies.
The association describes it as “an essential product guide and handy reference for contact lens practitioners.”
As technology develops, inevitably so do products, therefore the year book is released annually to ensure the profession has a handy, accurate reference tool, the ACLM explained.
Articles featured in the guide this year cover how to retain patients, managing concerns on presbyopia and the latest statistics on the contact lens market. There is also information on the General Optical Council’s Love your lenses campaign, which was established in 2017 to educate the public about using contact lenses safely.
The ACLM Contact Lens Year Book can be ordered online via the association’s website.
