A photograph captured by a renowned UK landscape photographer will be sold through silent auction at Robert Frith Optometrists in support of Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB).
The image, by photographer Charlie Waite, will be on display in the Gillingham branch until September 20, with the highest bidder to receive the photograph when the silent auction ends.
Waite shared that the last two years have affirmed the importance of natural landscapes.
“It has also reaffirmed the vital role that charities play and I’m so pleased to be supporting RNIB and the great work they do in supporting blind and partially sighted people,” he said.
Regional fundraising manager for RNIB, Hazel Stirling, shared: “Charlie really wanted to help generate vital funds for RNIB, and his idea presents a great opportunity for someone to own a piece of his work whilst supporting a worthwhile cause.”
Practice manager at Robert Firth Optometrists, Nikki Legg, highlighted that practice staff are “delighted” to support the silent auction.
“We hope it raises money and awareness of sight loss and this great charity,” she said.
