The Thomas Pocklington Trust (TPT) has awarded £1.3m to Visionary for its work in supporting blind and visually impaired people.

The investment is part of a three-year agreement that will see the organisations work together and expand the membership base of Visionary.

Visionary is a membership organisation for sight loss charities that aims to develop a network of local organisations to deliver services for people living with sight loss.

Vice-chair of Visionary, Michael Conroy, said: “[TPT’s] support has allowed us to expand our activities, grow the Visionary membership and strengthen our collective voice, which will have a positive impact on the lives of blind and partially sighted people.”

The money will be used by Visionary to connect with sight loss organisations and work alongside them to develop services.
