Fight for Sight appoints director of research and policy
Dr Neil Ebenezer joins the sight loss charity

A leading eye research charity has announced the appointment of its new director of research, policy and innovation.
Dr Neil Ebenezer takes up the position this month at a time when the charity is growing.
Joining Fight for Sight from The Department of Transport where he was head of science and innovation, Dr Ebenezer will be leading the charity’s programme of developing solutions for those who are or may be affected by sight loss. He will provide direction on all research activities, policy and influencing work, as well as spearheading projects to deliver innovative solutions.
Dr Ebenezer gained his PhD from the Institute of Ophthalmology at University College London where he spent 13 years of his career.
Commenting on his appointment, Dr Ebenezer said: “I am delighted to be joining Fight for Sight, particularly as it’s an exciting time with work on our new research strategy at an advanced stage. I’m looking forward to being able to implement the strategy and use it as an opportunity to develop our policy and influencing work.”
