Best friend for Guide Dogs
International Eyewear fundraised for Guide Dogs throughout 2017
28 December 2017
For the last 12 months International Eyewear has shown its support for Guide Dogs UK through a range of fundraising activities.
Working closely with the national charity throughout 2017, its support began with the sponsoring of a Guide Dog puppy named Irvine and finished with an in-house company Bake Off challenge, which raised £400.
Guide Dogs aims is to provide people with sight loss with the support they need to be able to move around safely and confidently, to get out of their homes and be able to live life the way they choose.
To mark the year-long fundraising efforts by International Eyewear, a team from Guide Dogs, which included community fundraising business development manager from the Shrewsbury Guide Dogs mobility team, Dan Myatt, volunteer puppy walker Christine Wheeler and Guide Dog puppy Val, visited the eyewear company’s head office.
Commenting on the ongoing support from International Eyewear, Mr Myatt said: “A massive festive thank you to International Eyewear for their hard work fundraising to help to change someone’s life.”
