Charity event to focus on latest developments
Macular Society conference returns to the capital
21 July 2017
A one-day conference will be held in London in September to give people with macular degeneration the opportunity to learn more about the latest treatments being developed to tackle the sight-threatening condition.
Organised by the Macular Society, and held at the Grange Tower Bridge Hotel on 16 September, leading ophthalmologists, researchers and inspirational speakers will take to the stage during the event. There will also be a range of workshops on topics such as mobility, nutrition, lighting and low vision devices.
Speaking about the conference, chief executive of the Macular Society, Cathy Yelf, said: “Events like this are vital in raising awareness of macular conditions and what causes them. They also help us let people know about the support available to them and the crucial research, which we believe will eventually lead us to find a cure.”
The conference runs from 9.30am–4.15pm and tickets are £22. For more information and to book, visit the Macular Society website.
